Stella Berry Scholarship

Stella Berry’s passing early this year has had a profound impact on the Shenton community.

As you may have read in the recent Shenton Highlights article, with her family’s permission the College has taken steps to create a scholarship that reflects Stella’s passions.  It will be awarded annually to a Year 10 or 11 student that wishes to have a 6-7 week immersion experience in France. The student will live with a French family and attend a French school.

The P&C has made a donation towards this initiative and invites further donations to support this scholarship.  Please note that these donations are not tax deductible.

2024 HPL Testing

Families who are enrolling their child into Y7 next year should be aware that we have opened up registration for students to sit the testing for consideration for our High Performance Learning (HPL) Academic program.

For entry into our HPL program, students must reside within our catchment and are selected for HPL through a local entry process which includes:

  • sitting a common selection test at the College (or if interstate or overseas, by arrangement). The test is conducted at Shenton College and lasts approximately 90 minutes. The HPL test will be administered at the end of Term 3. Registrations for the test are available here.
  • provision of the latest school report.
  • provision of the latest NAPLAN results.
  • where available (not required) external testing data such as Gifted and Talented testing results.

Please register here (HPL TEST).

Registrations close around Week 7 of Term 3. Once we close the registration, an email confirmation will be sent to families informing them of the process leading to the testing date.

For any other enquiries please email sharon.ho@education.wa.edu.au
