Singapore Student Leaders Convention

The Student Leaders Convention is an annual event organized by Hwa Chong Institution (High School) and co-organised by Nanyang Girls’ High School in Singapore. Since its inception in 1995, the Student Leaders Convention has progressed from a one-day event to a four-day convention, attracting participants from all over the world.

The 22nd Student Leaders Convention aims to provide a platform for the discussion of community-based problems, which affect young people and the global community; this year’s theme is “Cohesive Communities, Synergised Societies”.

19 students from Shenton College will travel over to Singapore for the conference – 5 Y11s taking on facilitator roles and 14 Y10 delegates.  Through this convention, student leaders will be provoked into thought regarding ‘integration’ and they will work towards the goal of people looking at others of different backgrounds as fellow human beings. By doing so, The 22nd Student Leaders Convention aims to prepare Student Leaders who will take the lead in promoting Harmony among the people of their various societies.
