On Friday 4th November,  the Year 7, 8 and 9 girls represented Shenton College in AFL.

Claremont Football Club host an annual lightning carnival to promote junior girls football. There were four schools involved in the carnival and we had two teams.

Our girls were amazing, very competitive, ferocious on the tackle, carried the ball well, and displayed great sportsmanship. One team went through the day undefeated, however, they finished second on percentage.

6 girls were scouted from the team and invited to join the district youth tryouts in a few weeks time.

Our second, and much younger side, fought really hard in every match but didn’t manage to win a game.

Either way the girls did not mind, they had a great day!
