Ultimate Frisbee Carnival

On Thursday 16th March, 4 teams went to the High School Ultimate Championships to play in very warm conditions against Alkimos, Mary McKillop, and John Curtin.

With 3 teams in the same division, there was some fierce but friendly Shenton V Shenton competition.

With some expertise from National Frisbee players Shannon and Reyer Carpenter, the Shenton A team remained undefeated and took out top position.

Our year 7-9 Boys division (which had 2 year 8 girls in it!!), took out the highly esteemed Spirit of the Game award, which we also won last year.

All students should be congratulated on an outstanding effort both on and off the field.

Futsal Domination!

Shenton College has taken the Junior Futsal world by storm!

On Tuesday 7th March, the 13s boys and 14s girls teams participated in an all schools tournament which resulted in the boys finishing runners up and both girls teams making the grand final! Finishing champions and runners up!

Wednesday 8th March, was a repeat with the 14s boys finishing first and second and playing off in a 5 min super final. Champions and runners up!

We had a handful of students invited to attend the WA state futsal team and the feedback from the coordinator was that “Shenton students played with a high level of skill and sportsman/woman/transgendership (didn’t want to exclude anyone)”
