Flying Start in the Senior School !

 

Whilst Year 10 in the Senior School at Shenton College can be regarded as a transition year between the Middle School and Years 11 and 12, it is also the year in which to consolidate preparations for the special demands of post-compulsory education in Years 11 and 12.

Programs in Year 10 at Shenton College are designed not only to assist students to make a "Flying Start" in their preparation for Years 11 and 12, but also to assist them to become independent and self-directed learners.

There are exciting opportunities

  • to engage with new learning technologies;
  • to access and use a range of purpose-built education programs within the college; and
  • to tap into additional enrichment opportunities through links with the University of Western Australia.

Students in Year 10 take courses in each of eight learning areas. Subject details are listed according to Learning Areas which are:
