Design

Unlike the rigid, rectangular school designs of the past, Shenton College has been designed to represent a new era in government education in Western Australia.

To complement the fine buildings, attractive external environments, including courtyards, are provided for educational purposes, as well as for social interaction and recreation.

Recognizing the needs of more active, younger secondary school students, the architects, James Christou & Partners, have designed functional and inviting recreational areas.

   Senior School

The college has been designed to allow access to information technology for all students. The Senior and Middle Schools share a library, cafeteria and gymnasium. Special programs include: Academic Talented Program, Centre for the deaf and hard of hearing, Fitness for Life, mentor Program, Music, UWA Links, Vocational and Educational Training (VET), Student Workplace Learning (SWL) and Private Activity Time (PAT).
